Authentic WW1 British Feather Bonnet, Black Watch Royal Highland Reg., 4 Tails

A simply beautiful antique British army headdress from the early 20th century, WW1-era. This four-tail Ostrich Feather Bonnet is badged to the Black Watch Royal Highland Regiment. It's spectacular feathers and red plume are in great shape and display wonderfully. The early style interior lining shows much wear, and a maker's mark is visible stamped in the crown. Leather chinstrap present that appears to be a replacement, and one of the four tails appears to be a period replacement. In overall excellent condition and a scarce piece.
Don't miss out on this rare, original WW1-era headdress that has survived the years in beautifully preserved condition, and would be a top-shelf headdress in any serious helmet/headgear collector's display.
