    Description

    Hello
GEARBOX JUST SOLD (thursday am july 8th)
Frame is 1930, front end is 1930, rockers are 1930....your choice of 1929 cases or 1930 cases....wheels rebuilt, original spokes retained from original  wheels and nickel plated, rims (kelsey hayes drop forged) powder coated, hubs powder coated (both hubs original and period correct), most of a gear box and clutch (period correct gear box and very hard to find). Gear box / transmission will need a full rebuild (does turn through freely and shift) , new top springs for the springer, lower springs are used, both parkerized and painted black, springer is beautiful and straight but will need a rebuild (one of the rods and rocker bushings). It was cleaned up and primed to prevent rusting.Neck cups and bearing races are included, but no ball bearings Handlebars are newly powder coated speedster bars, and repop from Faber cycle. Will include a fully rebuilt set of flywheels and rods, (see photo), along with old internals of flywheel.... slight play in the male rod but within spec I believe... tappet blocks and tappets/lifters will be included. If 1929 cases then the one year only guide blocks will be included with lifters (used, see the photo). If the 1930 cases then the traditional 45 blocks and tappets will be included (used).
Heads are excellent, period correct with good threads. A set of cylinders will be included, but will need rebuild. No valves, covers or guides. Might include a set of excellent used pistons. No additional hardware included. Does include the cam cover. Both cases have repairs but are sound. Fenders are original but very rough and will need a full restoration. They were redone but very poorly. I'll include a set of repop fender rivets as to do a proper restoration of the fenders the brackets should be removed, the primer and bondo blasted off and fenders redone (in my opinion).... axles are included. What you see is what you get. Consider it a batch of used parts. Clean numbers on both cases
I can ship in boxes via ups (frame in one, springer in another, fenders in a box, gearbox in a box, cases in another, flywheels in another, cylinders and heads each boxed, and handlebars for about 650 to 700 usd). Can possibly deliver within 750 miles for the same price. Can ship overseas to europe but via surface (3 to 4 months and at a cost of 2500 dollars)
As is sale with no guarantees
I have 3 dl projects that I'm working on and need to sell this one to pay for the other 2
Do your research on this most underrated and highly undervalued 45 flathead (1929 was the first year) built to compete with the 101 indian scout. Last Harley DL (a 1931) sold at mecum for over 30 grand last year (see the last photo). Ten times rarer than the VL
No title, bill of sale only
